Gordon Alexander is our licensed Volkswagen technician and is also one of
our three MOT testers that we employ. Gordon is one of only a few licensed
Volkswagen technicians in Hampshire. He was the second youngest
technician in the country when he achieved this status in 2003. He has worked
on Volkswagens for the past ten years, previously having worked at Testwood
Volkswagen in Shirley, Southampton.
Melanie Hatcher is our main MOT tester. Melanie was formally with Hendy
Ford in Chandlers Ford and out of the 45,000 MOT testers in the UK is 1 of
only 200 female MOT testers currently registered in the UK. Melanie is also a
fully qualified technician.
Tony Farrell has been with us for the past year and has worked within the
motor trade for 30 years. He has previously worked for Testwood Volkswagen,
Derek Warwick Skoda and Meaden Seat. With his wide range of experience
on VW group vehicles he is a valuable member of the team.
Rob Godson is the youngest and newest member of our team. Rob joined
us from Southampton Audi in November 2008 after completion of his
apprenticeship with them. Rob brings all the latest knowledge from an Audi
retailer to Independent.
Andy Simmons joined us in October 2008. Andy has been a fully trained
technician and is our Quality Control MOT Tester. He has worked as a
technician for 35 years and has a vast experience of working on a wide range
of vehicles.
Jack Jarocki came to England from Poland in 2004 and has been a fully
manufacturer trained technician and auto electrician for over 20 years. He has
worked on Volkswagens for the last 6 years.
